Ironing

Ironing

  1. Check the tag. It should say if it can be ironed, and also what setting you should use to iron it.
  2. Fill it with water.
  3. Choose the right setting. Plug it in and wait for it to heat up. Don’t leave it face down because it will burn whatever it’s in contact with! Most irons will tell you when it’s hot enough to go, most have lights on them that go out when it’s ready to use.
  4. Sort the clothes. If you’re doing a big batch of clothes that need different settings, start with the clothes that need to be ironed on the coldest setting and work your way up to the warmest.
  5. Hang them up or fold them. They’ll crease easily when they cool back down.
