Bacon and Tomato Spaghetti

Bacon and Tomato Spaghetti


  • 400g Spaghetti
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 120g smoked streaky bacon, cut into small strips
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped garlic clove
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tins of chopped tomatoes
  • Grated cheese to serve (optional)


  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the pack instructions
  2. As it’s cooking, heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the bacon until it starts to crisp
  3. Stir in the onion and cook for a further 3-4 minutes
  4. Add the garlic and paprika, and cook for another minute or so
  5. Pour in the chopped tomatoes, bring to the boil and bubble for ten minutes, or until the sauce is thick enough for your liking. Give it a stir every so often to stop it from sticking.
  6. Drain the pasta and toss with the sauce
  7. Add the grated cheese, and enjoy!
